FabLab Vágur on the southernmost part of the Faroe Islands is looking for a Maker - giving the opportunity to live and work in the town of Vágur in the Faroe Islands for a period of 5 weeks.
We are searching for a Maker who loves working with children on a daily basis, and possess good skills using Fablab technologies, e.g. vinyl cutters, micro bits, laser cutter etc. Your assistance during Open Fablab hours and daily maintenance of the lab is also required.
In addition, we are looking for an enthusiastic person, who would like the challenge of impacting and motivating our school staff, consisting of teachers and pedagogues, with your competencies, for them to be able to use the technologies as a natural part of their daily work.
The person is also given the opportunity to schedule and hold their own workshops in the lab.

Fablab Vágur opened the doors for the public in 2020, and is located on a primary school placed in the center of the town. We are searching for a Maker who loves working with children on a daily basis, and possess good skills using Fablab technologies, e.g. vinyl cutters, micro bits, laser cutter etc.
What you can expect from us
We will be your host during your stay in Vágur and help introduce you to the local community. We will provide you with free accommodation during your stay and assist with travel expenses, and also a commission for your work.
